2017 is the Year of the Rooster according to Chinese zodiac。 The Year of the Rooster will start from Jan。 28， 2017 （Chinese New Year） and last to Feb。 15， 2018。

2017年是中国生肖排列中的鸡年，按中国新年计算，鸡年会从2017年1月28日持续到2018年2月15日。

Rooster is almost the epitome of fidelity and punctuality。 For ancestors who had no alarm clocks， the crowing was significant， as it could awaken people to get up and start to work。 In Chinese culture， another symbolic meaning of chicken carries is exorcising evil spirits。

鸡是忠诚与守时的象征，人类的祖先没有闹钟，唤醒大家的声声鸡鸣就显得尤为重要。中国文化中，鸡还有着驱邪除怪的作用。

1.Aristotle 亚里士多德，公元前384年生

Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and scientist。 At seventeen or eighteen years of age， he joined Plato‘s Academy in Athens and remained there until the age of thirty-seven。 Shortly after Plato died， Aristotle left Athens and， at the request of Philip of Macedon， tutored Alexander the Great beginning in 343 BC。

Zhuge Liang（the family name is Zhuge）， courtesy name Kongming， was a chancellor （or prime minister） and regent of the state of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period。 He is recognised as the most accomplished strategist of his era， and has been compared to Sun Tzu， the author of The Art of War。

诸葛亮（复姓“诸葛”），字孔明，三国时期蜀汉丞相，杰出的军事家。世人常将他与《孙子兵法》的作者孙子相比。

3.Rabindranath Tagore 拉宾德拉纳特·泰戈尔， 1861年生

Author of Gitanjali and its “profoundly sensitive， fresh and beautiful verse”， he became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913。

《吉檀迦利》的作者，他的诗文深刻敏感、清倩婉丽。1913年，他成为第一位获得诺贝尔文学奖的非欧洲人。

4。 Liang Qichao 梁启超，1873 年生

Liang Qichao， courtesy name Zhuoru， art name Rengong， was a Chinese philosopher， educator and reformist who lived during the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China。 He inspired Chinese scholars with his writings and reform movements。

梁启超，字卓如，号任公。中国哲学家、教育家，清末民初改良派的代表人物。他的文章和变法运动激励着一代代中国学者。

5.Prince Philip 菲利普亲王， 1921年生

Prince Philip， Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II。 Chinese people know more about his wife than him。 The couple had four children and their romance started by writing letters to each other。

菲利普亲王、爱丁堡公爵、伊丽莎白二世的丈夫。在中国，他的妻子比他更为知名。他们一起生养了四个孩子。他们通过写情书相恋。

6.Faye Wong 王菲，1969年生

Born on Aug 8 in the Rooster Year 1969， Chinese queen of pop music Faye Wong is a legendary singer who has a psychedelic voice。

王菲，中国流行乐坛天后，生于1969年8月8日，属鸡。她的嗓音空灵缥缈，被誉为天籁之音。

Her music has won her a large group of followers from many Asian countries， including China， Singapore and Japan。 In 2000， she was recognized by Guinness World Records as the Best Selling Canto-Pop Female。

王菲在中国、新加坡、日本等亚洲各国拥有大量粉丝。2000年，吉尼斯世界记录认证王菲为华语歌坛粤语专辑销量第一的歌手。

7.Guo Jingjing 郭晶晶， 1981年生

Guo Jingjing is a female diver from the People‘s Republic of China。 During the 2004 Summer Olympics She won a gold medal in the 3 meter women’s synchronized springboard along with Wu Minxia， before winning her first individual Olympic gold in the 3 meter women‘s springboard。 After the 2004 Summer Olympics， Guo became a Chinese national sports figure。 Guo won two more gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing。 She announced her retirement in 2011。

郭晶晶，中国跳水运动员。2004年雅典奥运会上，郭晶晶与搭档吴敏霞获得女子双人3米板金牌，之后她又夺得了女子单人3米板金牌，这让她成为中国体坛领军人物。2008年北京奥运会，郭晶晶又将两枚金牌收入囊中，2011年，郭晶晶宣布退役。

8.Natalie Portman 娜塔莉·波特曼

Compared to many actors， Portman is lucky。 Born on June 9 in 1981， she rose to fame at an early age， still retained her charm and continues to sharpen her acting skills after growing up。 Many Chinese people know her from the 1994 thriller Leon： The Professional。 Her style in the film still looks cool and unique after 20 years。
